Meet GWEN ELLISON

Candidate for MAYOR

Gwen Ellison is a native of Forest Park. She attended the historic W.A. Fountain School starting at the age of 5. As a graduate of Forest Park High School at age 16, she continued her education at the University of Georgia, received an associate degree at Reinhardt College and a bachelor’s degree at Georgia State University. She also holds an associate degree in Mortuary Science, graduating with honors and is a member of the National Mortician Honors Fraternity, Pi Sigma Eta.

Ms. Ellison is a woman of integrity. She is a business owner, certified crematory operator, funeral director, embalmer and also a licensed insurance agent. She worked 25 years in the airline industry, and for an IT company as a Manager of instructional designers, technical writers and programmers in several U.S. locations, Europe and Latin America.

Ms. Ellison is “home grown”…..grew up in Forest Park, attended school in Forest Park, owns properties in Forest Park and lives in Forest Park! Needless to say, she has a strong and personal commitment to the City of Forest Park and its residents of all ages.

She is the widow of a Vietnam Veteran (Mr. George Ellison) and the mother of two beautiful daughters and three loving grandchildren.
